Headaches & Migraines

Treatment at Bridge to Health

Depending on their intensity and patterns, headaches can have a significant impact on a person's life.  They must be handled with care as they can be due to a wide range of causes - posture, hypertension, medication, food intolerance, poor hydration, systemic conditions, hormonal imbalance etc.

In such cases, we conduct a searching case history and clinical examination to identify possible root causes of the headache, and discount suspected causes that may require a GP or hospital referral for further investigation.

In the majority of cases, headaches are due to causes which osteopathy can successfully alleviate, such as postural strains or upper body tension. Depending on the individual patient, we will draw on a range of modalities including structural and cranial osteopathic treatment, therapeutic massage, musculoskeletal acupuncture, dietary advice and postural exercise.
