Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI)

Treatment at Bridge to Health

Repetitive strain injuries (RSI) can affect any part of your musculoskeletal frame, and develop as a result of long-term occupational or postural strains imposed on the body.

Typical examples of these include lateral epicondylitis (a.k.a. "tennis elbow") and spinal ligament strains, and they can understandably be very painful and debilitating.

Our treatment approach centres on isolating the tissues involved in the RSI (e.g. ligaments, tendons, muscle), and to facilitate symptom relief and tissue repair through a combination of osteopathic treatment, hydrotherapy, musculoskeletal acupuncture and postural exercise.

Because of the nature of these injuries, a course of treatment usually needs to be planned over several weeks to address the root of the injury and try to prevent reoccurrence.
