What is Parkrun?

What is Parkrun?
Parkrun is all about combining fitness, sociability and fun all in one free go. In a park near you every Saturday morning at 9 o’clock hundreds of people are gathering to run 5 kilometres.

It’s available to all ages and abilities, from the super fit club runners to the new found health conscious. Upon registering you will get a unique bar code which will allow your time to be recorded each week, so you can keep track of your progress. This is great for those with a competitive nature or doing it with friends looking to out-do each other. However, if you’re a more relaxed runner, than go along for the great atmosphere, fresh air and the usual coffee afterwards.

Not only is it free and great exercise for you, but now is the perfect time to join with the lighter mornings and warmer (and occasionally drier) weather.
