How acupuncture can support skin conditions
Dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, fungal infection or rosacea may prove to be very stubborn to treat with conventional methods. Our treatment strategy combines acupuncture and topically applied herbal products; creams, face wash, body lotions, tonics etc. Many of these conditions are of autoimmune origin, deeply rooted in our immune system and they manifest on the skin as a lesion. We treat the root cause of the disease as well as its symptoms. While herbal creams and ointments clear the surface of the skin, acupuncture’s harmonising effects address the underlying causes of the disease, for instance, it clears internal pathogenic toxic heat in the bloodstream, and by stimulating the body’s fluids, it ends up nourishing the skin from the inside out – which is more effective.
