Registered Yoga Teacher
Specialism: YogaYoga is an ancient form of exercise that has grown to be a popular choice of therapy in today’s modern world. It focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental well-being.
Yoga has been a part of my life since childhood in India, where I trained in asana at school. I reconnected with the practice while working in a stressful corporate job and struggling to maintain a good work-life balance. Yoga helped me to feel stronger, free and relaxed in both body and mind. The positive impact that yoga brought into my own life encouraged me to train to become a teacher back in 2016.
I teach many different styles of the practice including: beginners’ yoga, vinyasa flow, joint freeing series, chair yoga, corporate yoga and restorative yoga. I am also trained in pre and postnatal yoga and my teaching is inspired by the pioneer in women’s health, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, who I had the privilege to train under as well as my own personal experience of the practice during pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal.
I offer one-to-one sessions, incorporating a mix of the above techniques to come up with a customised practice to suit your personal needs, including any specific health conditions. A 60 minute session with me includes settling in, focus on breathing, followed by a series of postures using mindful movement and will usually end with 20 minutes of relaxation. This sort of session is beneficial for improving posture, recovering from an injury or medical condition, building strength, improving flexibility, maintaining health during pregnancy, postpartum rehab, increase in energy levels, reducing stress and anxiety and being happier.
I look forward to meeting you on the mat!
