A counsellor or psychotherapist will work with you over the short or long term to bring about change and improve your well-being. You may be experiencing difficulties or distress in your life or may be feeling anxious or depressed. You may be dealing with issues such as bereavement, divorce, redundancy or a severe illness, or you may be seeking greater balance and satisfaction in your life. In therapy, we will invite you to talk about past and present life events, feelings, emotions, relationships, and ways of thinking and patterns of behaviour. We will help you to develop an understanding of yourself and others and to find your own solutions.
